Job Description Job Description Laundry Attendant & Public Area Cleaner Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton – Boone, NC 1252 US Hwy 421 South, Boone, NC 28607 (Across from Bojangles & Bubbles Car Wash) General Overview: We’re looking for motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Laundry Attendants & Public Area Cleaners. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to delivering the high standards our guests expect. You’ll ensure our hotel stays fresh, clean, and guest-ready by keeping linens spotless and public areas looking their best. Whether you're looking for part-time work or want to grow into a full-time hospitality career, we welcome you to apply! What You’ll Do: Laundry Duties Collect, sort, and transport dirty linens Load and unload washers and dryers Fold, organize, and restock clean linens Maintain cleanliness of laundry room and equipment Monitor and report linen or equipment shortages Public Area Duties Clean and maintain lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and guest-facing public areas Respond to guest needs with professionalism and hospitality Support housekeeping and maintenance teams as needed Assist with light trash collection, tidying, and replenishing supplies Work Schedule: Current needs: 12 PM – 8 PM and 3 PM – 11 PM Shifts are typically worked in small teams of 1–3 people Flexible scheduling for students – we work around your class and exam schedules Compensation: Pay is based on experience and availability: PM Shift Lead (3–11 PM, Thurs–Mon, cross-trained) – $16.00/hr AM Shift Lead (7 AM–3 PM, Thurs–Mon, cross-trained) – $14.00/hr Experienced, Full-Time, All Shifts – $13.50/hr Full-Time, All Shifts w/ Some Limitations – $13.00/hr Full-Time, AM-Only – $12.50/hr 4 Days/Week, No Limitations – $12.00/hr Less than 4 Days/Week w/ Limitations – $11.50/hr Less than 3 Days/Week w/ Limitations – $11.00/hr Qualifications: Must be 16 years or older No prior experience needed – we’ll train the right person Must be able to pass a drug test and background check Friendly, positive attitude and a strong work ethic Ability to lift, bend, and be on your feet for most of the shift Willingness to work as a team and help other departments as needed Perks & Benefits: Go Hilton Travel Program – Discounts for you, friends, and family at Hilton properties worldwide (rates as low as $35/night) Vacation time for part-time and full-time employees Health insurance for full-time employees after the measurement period Supportive, locally owned and operated team Opportunities to cross-train in housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk Work at a hotel ranked in the Top 1% of all Hamptons in the U.S. and #2 on TripAdvisor in Boone!
