<div>Boeing Defense, Space & Security External Communications, Operations & Analytics Specialist (Experienced or Senior)<br/><br/><b>Position Responsibilities:</b><br/><ul><li>Lead the creation and execution of earned media strategies that align with BDS objectives, including proactive outreach and engagement with key media stakeholders.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with trade media, ensuring timely and accurate coverage of BDS initiatives and stories.</li><li>Edits and ensures first-time quality for news releases and Response-to-Query (RTQ) documents, de-conflicting potential issues.</li><li>Collaborate with communications colleagues and subject matter experts to identify emerging issues and opportunities, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize impact.</li><li>In alignment with BDS Comms partners, develop and execute owned media strategy for aligned portfolio, especially during surge efforts (major events and milestones)</li><li>Generate opportunities to deploy the BDS narrative or BDS-level narrative pillars across Paid, Earned, Shared and Owned (PESO) channels</li><li>Collaboratively, proactively manage and streamline External Communications (EC) meetings, process, reports and tools</li><li>Help build consistent approach and governance to implement and maintain Proactive News Agenda tracking through Opal</li><li>Develop and drive Issues & Positions development process</li><li>Manage the drafting, editing, and distribution of press materials, including press releases, media advisories, and company statements.</li><li>Manage External Communications function measurement dashboard, aligned with Analytics, Tools & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy team</li><li>Monitor earned, owned and shared media coverage, and analyze results to inform future communications strategies and improve outcomes.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Berkeley, MO.</b><br/><br/><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b><br/><ul><li>Bachelors degree or higher</li><li>3+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, and/or external communications</li><li>3+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partners across teams</li><li>3+ years of experience applying verbal and written communication skills including spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style, proof reading and editing skills</li><li>Experience with producing, writing and editing multiple communications deliverables such as news releases, statements, RTQs, feature stories, speeches, videos, social media, etc.</li><li>Capability to work independently and with a cross-functional team</li><li>Willing and capable to travel domestically and internationally as needed</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b><br/><ul><li>Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines</li><li>5+ years of experience with Microsoft office suite</li><li>Experience developing and executing strategic marketing and communication plans based on business objectives and campaign goals with a performance-based mindset</li><li>Experience working with trade media, with a track record of building and maintaining effective media relationships</li><li>Demonstrated willingness to harness resources to tell stories in new and innovative ways</li><li>Sound judgment in managing crisis communications and high-profile situations and leading strategically complex, high-value and high-impact projects</li><li>Understanding of the defense acquisition process and familiarity with Department of Defense products/platforms</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Conflict of Interest:</b><br/><br/>Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process<br/><br/><b>Pay & Benefits: </b><br/><br/>At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
