Corporate Flight Attendant MassMutual Aviation Department Full-Time Bradley International Airport Windsor Locks, CT The Opportunity The MassMutual Aviation Team is looking for a Full-Time Flight Attendant to join our multi-aircraft Part 91 operation based at Bradley International Airport (BDL). The ideal candidate will be a team player that is flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities to provide a superior level of service to the passengers. This position provides an exceptional level of personal services to ensure the safety and comfort of aircraft passengers during flight. You will greet passengers, provide safety briefings, explain the use of safety equipment, prepare, and serve food and beverages. The Impact Assists the flight crew in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight Notifies the Pilot-in-Command immediately of any emergency situation in the cabin Remains proficient in all aircraft safety equipment Plans menus, accommodates allergies and special diets, orders catering, shops, and prepares food for passengers and crew Ensures food safety Ensures all safety, galley, and cabin equipment is ready for flight Conducts appropriate passenger safety briefings Provides excellent customer service to passengers Prepares the passengers and cabin for departure and arrival in compliance with FAA regulations Assists passengers and ensures their comfort throughout the flight Performs specified safety actions, instructs, and assists passengers during any aircraft emergencies Maintains the aircraft cabin and baggage area in an orderly and safe fashion Cleans the galley and passenger cabin and restocks the aircraft after the flight Completes preflight, in-flight and post flight paperwork Participates in the Safety Management System

Responsibilities

  • Assists the flight crew in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight
  • Notifies the Pilot-in-Command immediately of any emergency situation in the cabin
  • Remains proficient in all aircraft safety equipment
  • Plans menus, accommodates allergies and special diets, orders catering, shops, and prepares food for passengers and crew
  • Ensures food safety
  • Ensures all safety, galley, and cabin equipment is ready for flight
  • Conducts appropriate passenger safety briefings
  • Provides excellent customer service to passengers
  • Prepares the passengers and cabin for departure and arrival in compliance with FAA regulations
  • Assists passengers and ensures their comfort throughout the flight
  • Performs specified safety actions, instructs, and assists passengers during any aircraft emergencies

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Flight Attendant with an airline, corporate flight department, or government agency
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the US, without requiring any future sponsorship
  • First aid training, to include adult and Infant CPR certification
  • Able to manage a constantly changing schedule and late-night flights
  • Available to fly on short notice (2-hour response if on Standby)
  • Must reside within a 90-minute drivable commute range from BDL
  • Must be able to lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds, from floor level to waist high repeatedly

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Must have strong organization skills and be detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with demonstrated abilities to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Flight attendant specific training from Flight Safety, FACTs or similar is preferred. Annual recurrent training is required
  • Emergency Medical Response (EMR) training is preferred
  • Knowledge of culinary arts, food, wine, and menu planning to accommodate first class service to corporate passengers
  • Technologically savvy and able to use a computer (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), smartphone and iPad device
