<p><strong>Roofing /construction </strong><p><strong>Job Description</strong><p>This role focuses on the fabrication and installation of commercial wall and roofing panels, including insulated panels, aluminum composite systems, and single-skin panels. You will work in a sheet metal fabrication shop that produces custom flashing and metal systems such as gutters, downspouts, drip edge, and coping, and then install these components on commercial projects.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Fabricate and install commercial wall and roofing panel systems, including insulated, aluminum composite, and single-skin panels.</li><li>Build and assemble custom sheet metal flashing and metal systems, including gutters, downspouts, drip edge, and coping.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine material requirements, dimensions, and installation methods.</li><li>Measure, cut, shape, and fit sheet metal components using appropriate hand and power tools.</li><li>Perform sheet metal installation tasks such as fastening, aligning, and securing panels and flashing to building structures.</li><li>Use riveting techniques and tools to join and secure sheet metal components safely and accurately.</li><li>Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and standards.</li><li>Perform basic repairs and adjustments to sheet metal installations as needed.</li><li>Work safely on active construction sites, following all safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.</li><li>Collaborate with diverse construction and installation teams to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.</li><li>Adapt to changing project needs, tasks, and priorities while maintaining high workmanship standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience with sheet metal installation in a construction or similar environment.</li><li>Ability to read and work from blueprints and construction drawings.</li><li>Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, fastening, and installing sheet metal.</li><li>Hands-on experience with riveting and other fastening techniques for sheet metal.</li><li>Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and working at heights.</li><li>Ability to work various hours and schedules based on project and site requirements.</li><li>Capability to work effectively as part of diverse teams on construction and installation projects.</li><li>Willingness and ability to learn new tasks, tools, and installation methods.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience in commercial construction or roofing environments.</li><li><br /></li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements, cuts, and installations.</li><li>Solid understanding of basic construction practices and job site safety.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on installed sheet metal components.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You will join a team that values craftsmanship, practical skill development, and collaboration on complex commercial projects.
