This role focuses on analyzing, documenting, and optimizing business processes related to enlisted performance evaluations, and translating those processes into automation-ready requirements.</p><p></p><p>The Project Analyst will work closely with RPA and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) developers to ensure accurate data extraction, normalization, and validation through defined business rules.</p><p></p><p><b>How Role will make an impact:</b></p><p><b>Business Process Analysis</b></p><ul><li>Analyze current-state processes for enlisted performance evaluation workflows (e.g., EVALs/FITREPs) </li><li>Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation </li><li>Document as-is and to-be process flows, including decision points and exception handling </li><li>Collaborate with Navy stakeholders to validate process understanding and requirements </li></ul><p><b>Requirements Elicitation & Documentation</b></p><ul><li>Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for RPA and IDP solutions </li><li>Translate business processes into clear automation logic and rule definitions </li><li>Develop user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria </li><li>Ensure traceability between requirements, business rules, and implemented automations </li></ul><p><b>IDP & Data Processing Support</b></p><ul><li>Work with developers to define requirements for data extraction from evaluation documents using IDP tools </li><li>Help establish data normalization standards across extracted fields </li><li>Validate extracted data against expected formats and business context </li></ul><p><b>Business Rules & Validation Logic</b></p><ul><li>Define and document business rules to verify completeness and correctness of enlisted evaluation documents </li><li>Support implementation of rule-based validation (e.g., required fields, formatting, scoring consistency) </li><li>Assist in identifying edge cases and exception scenarios </li></ul><p><b>Testing & Quality Assurance</b></p><ul><li>Develop and execute UAT test cases focused on evaluation document processing </li><li>Validate that automation outputs meet Navy business standards </li><li>Support defect tracking, triage, and resolution </li></ul><p><b>Stakeholder Collaboration</b></p><ul><li>Act as liaison between Navy personnel SMEs and automation developers </li><li>Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and demos </li><li>Communicate progress, risks, and requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences </li></ul><p><b>Requirements: </b></p><ul><li><b>Clearance</b>: Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance</li><li>3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in RPA or automation initiatives </li><li>Familiarity with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) concepts and tools </li><li>Strong experience in business process mapping (BPMN, Visio, etc.) </li><li>Strong experience leading software implementation teams</li><li>Strong experience with agile software delivery</li><li>Ability to define business rules and validation logic in structured formats </li><li>Strong knowledge of Navy and DoD PWS and SOWs to ensure delivery compliance</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with Navy personnel systems or enlisted evaluation processes <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">(EVALs/FITREPs) </span></li><li>Experience supporting document-heavy workflows and data extraction solutions </li><li>Knowledge of data normalization and <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">structured/unstructured</span> data handling </li><li>Active or previous security clearance </li><li>Experience leading implementation of automation tools (UiPath, Power Automate, Appian, BP, etc.)</li></ul><p></p><p>The compensation range for this role is $85,910 to $162,890.
