About the position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Product Management Consultant. This role will provide oversight and independent leadership for two enterprise‑critical horizontal initiatives within the COO organization. This position serves as the senior strategic driver for both the firm’s data‑migration strategy to cloud/ADS environments and the enterprise’s data‑modernization agenda supporting AI enablement. In this role, you will: Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence strategies, objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex data platforms and utilities across multiple groups and functions Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique data product enablement initiatives and challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas of the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others, while adhering to set data governance and standards Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant data product solutions that are large-scale cross-functional or companywide strategies Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance and design analytics applications across multiple platforms and serve as an expert advisor to leadership Lead strategic initiatives: Own integrated program plans for ADS/cloud migration, AI readiness, and collaborate on data product delivery; drive execution to outcomes across the COO. Shape strategy: Partner with domain leaders to refine approach and sequencing for cloud migration, AI controls, and data product delivery. Engineer alignment: Coordinate scope, dependencies, milestones, and risks across Technology, Operations, Finance, Controls, Legal, and Compliance. Manage risk early: Anticipate regulatory, operational, and delivery risks; establish mitigation plans and escalation protocols. Socialize and adopt: Engage stakeholders at all levels to drive understanding, buy in, and adoption of new data capabilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 7+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years in Program/Project Execution, Strategic Planning, or Data/Technology Implementation (work experience, training, military, or education).

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi‑disciplinary initiatives through influence in large enterprises.
  • Experience operating in data and technology environments preferred.
  • Experience with cloud migrations, data governance/controls, AI model or data risk management, or data product lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of financial services regulatory expectations relevant to data and AI.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management and OKR alignment.
