The Playback Insights team is the telemetry team for all of Prime Video. We and collect trillions of events per day direct from end user devices all around the world that we process in real time and expose to hundreds of internal teams for everything from performance optimization to personalization and engagement.

In addition to the challenges of scaling and processing data from millions of active devices all around the world, we also tackle the complexities of Big Data by hosting one of the largest Data Lakes in the world at near Exabyte scale. We continuously innovate to improve upon performance while accessing our data, despite the constant exponential growth of the data we store.

We also know that knowledge is of little use without wisdom, and to that end have empowered our users by creating a series of business KPIs, surfacing critical performance and engagement metrics. We exposing these KPIs to users through a variety of interfaces including intuitive web applications that offer a guided flow every step of the way from analyzing top level metrics down to exploring a single streaming session if a customer calls in after experiencing an issue. We additionally strive to automate data exploration where we can, and are investing into new machine learning models to identify the top items our teams should focus on to improve overall customer experience with the entire Prime Video platform.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
12+ Months removed from Graduation (BS,MS)
