The WRITER (II) is responsible for pitching, planning, writing, and copy editing engaging marketing content for a variety of digital marketing platforms, including website copy, marketing emails, whitepapers, social media content and ad copy.Writers lead client content planning meetings and should be strong oral communicators who strive to maintain good relationships with clients. Successful candidates will have prior experience crafting attention-grabbing, persuasive copy in a marketing context, and will be comfortable in adapting copy based on a client’s unique business goals, voice, tone, and objectives. Candidates should be familiar with best practices for digital marketing copy such how to write search listings, integrate keywords into copy, or effectively format social media post copy.

We will be looking for candidates with strong organization skills who are able to produce high quality content on deadline, and who are able to juggle multiple deadlines at once.

This position is expected to work up to 10 hours per week between February 2024 and May 2024.

Copywriting: Creating clear, effective persuasive marketing copy for social media, digital ads, email marketing, search engine optimization programs, and websites.

Copyediting and Quality Control: Ensuring that our writing output is high quality, error-free, and follows client voice and style guidelines.

Client and Project Management: Leading content pitches or content planning meetings. Proactively managing writing projects, moving them from concept to execution. Identifying client business goals, voice, and tone and developing copy that helps the client achieve their goals.

Collaboration with Account Managers and Strategists: Cross-team collaboration centered on identify areas for strategic alignment in our copywriting, and opportunities to use writing to help our team and our clients achieve their objectives.

Proposal Writing and Marketing: Writers may be asked to support company efforts such as proposal copywriting or marketing copywriting.

Education And/Or Experience BA in English, Journalism, Communications or 7+ years of equivalent marketing copywriting job experience.

TRAVEL

There may be occasional travel to work with clients or to attend our annual company retreat so you will need to have the ability to drive or take transit. We provide you with the necessary software and tools for the job and ask you to provide your own laptop or computer.

JOB TYPE

As a part-time team member, you will have the opportunity to work remotely with a flexible schedule. All meetings take place between 8:30am-5:30pm CT, but other work can be done on a schedule that works for you. As an LTE-team member, you’ll be working in a seasonal, temporary, or occasional role, supporting our in-house team of writers during a busy period of time.

LTE team members are W-2 and receive direct deposit, with taxes, Medicare, and Social Security withheld following federal, state, and local guidelines.
