The ideal candidate should be capable of diving into a wide range of services and identifying systemic issues across architecture, CI/CD flow, and containerization environments. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement resilient VoIP infrastructure and services. About the Team At Zoom, we are building the next generation of cloud and colocation infrastructure that powers seamless communication and collaboration for millions of users worldwide. Responsibilities Designing, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability VoIP infrastructure and services on cloud or colocation platforms. Build, operate, and optimize Kubernetes (K8s) clusters for containerized applications and microservices. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to automate build, test, and deployment workflows to meet various operational and maintenance requirements. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration management. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to VoIP systems, SBC, FreeSWITCH, and related infrastructure components. Manage and enhance production platform monitoring, alerting systems, and fault analysis to ensure rapid incident response and resolution. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including development, operations, and product-to deliver reliable, high-quality services. Continuously evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and cloud-native solutions to enhance system automation and scalability. What we're looking for - Hold qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. - Have experience in AWS cloud infrastructure design and management (EC2, VPC, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.). - Have experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform or Ansible. - Demonstrate expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Demonstrate expertise in Linux systems administration and network configuration. - Demonstrate knowledge of various cloud platforms, including AWS, OCI, and GCP. - Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of networking and security principles, including SIP, RTP, NAT traversal, load balancing, firewalls, and encryption. - Gain practical experience with monitoring, observability, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Datadog. - Occasional weekend work may be required - Ability to work across the globe or multiple time zones Salary Range or On Target Earnings: Minimum: $98,900.00 Maximum: $228,700.00 In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value. Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
