You will join a group of highly motivated individuals, to help us grow Phorest faster.</p><h4><strong>The Opportunity</strong></h4><p>We are seeking a driven <strong>Financial Accountant</strong> to play a pivotal role in delivering our monthly financial and management accounts. As a global SaaS platform, we serve clients across multiple continents. The ideal candidate will be energised by this international scale, possessing a natural curiosity and eagerness to navigate financial, taxation, and compliance regulations across diverse geographical regions.</p><p>In this role, you will work closely with our wider finance team, including a Financial Accountant, Accounts Payable Assistant, and Payroll Manager, to deliver fully reconciled monthly management accounts and insightful variance analysis to the Finance Manager. This is a high-visibility career opportunity offering deep exposure to all facets of accounting within a rapidly scaling, international tech environment.</p><p>You will join a dynamic, collaborative team of professionals, receive comprehensive in-house training, and enjoy clear pathways for career progression as we grow.</p><p><strong>This is fixed term contract for 12 months.</strong></p><h4><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h4><p>You will play a key role in our month-end close and financial control processes, with responsibilities including:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Financial Management:</strong> Take full ownership of key P&L accounts and prepare robust balance sheet reconciliations.</p></li><li><p><strong>Global Compliance:</strong> Manage international tax filings and compliance reporting across multiple regions.</p></li><li><p><strong>Revenue Analysis:</strong> Conduct revenue analysis across seven distinct financial jurisdictions.</p></li><li><p><strong>Process Innovation:</strong> Continuously review workflows to drive efficiencies, with a strong focus on automation and exploring AI tools to optimize financial reporting.</p></li><li><p><strong>Regulatory Alignment:</strong> Stay abreast of changing accounting, reporting, and auditing standards, ensuring our internal processes are updated accordingly.</p></li><li><p><strong>Audit Support:</strong> Assist with the year-end audit process to guarantee the timely delivery of Group Financial Statements.</p></li><li><p><strong>Stakeholder Collaboration:</strong> Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, collaborating with department heads to ensure strict adherence to financial timelines.</p></li></ul><h4><strong>Who You Are</strong></h4><ul><li><p><strong>Education & Qualifications:</strong> A third-level degree (2.1 or higher) in Business, Finance, or a related discipline, alongside a <strong>professional accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA)</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Experience:</strong> 2+ years of post-qualification experience within a corporate finance team.</p></li><li><p><strong>Technical Savvy:</strong> Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets, with strong analytical capabilities. Experience with NetSuite and G-Suite is highly advantageous.</p></li><li><p><strong>Industry Knowledge:</strong> Familiarity with SaaS business models, recurring revenue structures, and core SaaS metrics is a distinct plus.</p></li><li><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong> Exceptional communication skills, robust attention to detail, and the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.</p></li><li><p><strong>Mindset:</strong> A creative problem-solver who naturally looks for automation opportunities.
